RESCHEDULED: Art Opening: Larisa Dashaminov

Larisa Dashdaminov will be exhibiting a selection of her oil paintings at the Geiger English Library from January 5th through February 15th. The exhibition includes still life and landscape works, painted with a quiet attentiveness that invites viewers to slow down and really notice what’s in front of them.

There’s something especially fitting about encountering this kind of work in a library setting. Between shelves of stories and accumulated voices, Larisa’s paintings offer a visual pause — familiar objects, measured compositions, and landscapes that feel observed rather than performed. They don’t rush you, and they don’t ask for expertise. They simply ask you to look.

To mark the opening of the exhibition, we’ll be hosting a small reception on Tuesday, January 13th, from 19:00–21:00, at the English Library. It’s an opportunity to see the work together, meet the artist, and enjoy the space in a slightly different way than usual.…
