Book Donations
Books are at the heart of everything we do, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who thinks of the Geiger English Library when deciding what to do with books they no longer need.
There are two wonderful ways to help us grow our collection.
Books We'd Love to Add to Our Collection
The best way to strengthen our collection is by donating -or sponsoring -the books our readers are actively looking for.
Our Requested Books List includes titles suggested by library patrons, volunteers, and our collection development efforts. Every title on the list fills a genuine need and is likely to find an appreciative reader.
Whether you'd like to purchase a new book, donate a copy you already own, or sponsor a title, we'd be delighted to hear from you.

Thinking of Donating Books?
We are always grateful when people think of the Geiger English Library. Many of the books on our shelves have been generously donated by members of our community.
Because we are a volunteer-run library with limited shelving, storage, and processing capacity, we ask that all prospective donors follow a few simple guidelines:
✔ Check our online catalogue first. We have limited space for duplicate copies.
✔ Offer books in excellent condition. We cannot accept books that are damaged, mouldy, water-damaged, heavily marked, or have strong odours.
✔ Please limit donations to no more than 10 eligible books per household/month, unless other arrangements have been made with the library.
✔ Please contact us before bringing books to the library. We are unable to accept unannounced large donations or books left outside the library.
These simple steps help us make the best use of our volunteers' time and ensure that every donation has the greatest possible benefit for our readers.
