The Geiger English Library Book Club is back at the table, and this month’s gathering promises to be a particularly rich one.


On Wednesday, January 14th, the book club will be discussing The Wagamama Bride, and we’ll be joined by the author herself, Liane Grunberg Wakabayashi. The evening will run from 19:00–21:00 at the library, and as always, all are welcome — whether you’ve read every page, skimmed a chapter, or are simply curious.


The Wagamama Bride is a deeply personal work, shaped by years lived between cultures, belief systems, and continents. Liane brings to the conversation a lifetime of observation and reflection, informed by her decades in Japan, her return to Jewish life, and her ongoing engagement with questions of identity, family, and belonging.
